Following the rapid deployment of national COVID-19 infrastructure, the UK Government identified a critical need for rigorous auditing to ensure medical and legal compliance across all operational sites. There was a significant shortfall in security audit managers with the specific operational experience required to evaluate these high-stakes, “Black Swan” environments without disrupting vital healthcare delivery.
Retained in 2021 as a Security Consultant Expert to conduct comprehensive Security Operations audits for newly established MOD-NHS England vaccination hubs. This was a high-priority UK Government initiative designed to ensure the integrity, safety, and operational resilience of critical national health infrastructure under intense public and political scrutiny.
I executed full-spectrum physical site assessments, conducted in-depth interviews with senior Heads of Security, and monitored vaccination delivery logistics to identify vulnerabilities. My focus was on fortifying internal and external security measures to deter illegal intrusions and data breaches. I delivered detailed written assessments and RAG (Red/Amber/Green) risk reports, providing the strategic recommendations necessary to harden site assets and personnel. This work was pivotal in enhancing Operational Continuity and established a benchmark for Strategic Risk & Crisis Management across the national network.
