Following a period of profound political turmoil (pre-2014), the region faced a total destabilisation of the government and private business sectors. Organised crime syndicates and mafia groups were operating with impunity, engaging in open warfare for control of black-market interests. The execution of business executives who refused extortion demands was at a critical high. Simultaneously, government diplomatic and dignitary protection teams were overwhelmed, underfunded, and highly susceptible to bribery and defection to criminal organisations.
Retained as a Security Consultant Expert and Strategic Advisor to the senior leadership of the Ukrainian Intelligence Services. My mission-critical brief was to design and deliver elite training for senior intelligence officers, diplomatic VIP protection teams, and the security details of emerging private enterprises to harden them against mafia infiltration and violent incursions.
Navigating an exceptionally volatile geopolitical landscape, I successfully fortified the executive and force protection postures of several elite specialist agencies. This included the direct training of military, intelligence, police, and anti-mafia task forces, as well as the senior hierarchy of the Customs department. My implementation of robust Security Operations and Strategic Risk & Crisis Management protocols provided a crucial defence for both national security assets and private sector organisations. This project remains a benchmark in my career as a C-Suite Advisor capable of operating within the highest-threat environments.
